About PHOTOSHOP CS3!

hello everyone! As u might noticed CS3 is out! (check download section)
i will give u some information on the new features. This is for users that know about cs2 or have experience with photoshop in general.

The new interface
its a better setup now. everything is splitt up in 2 panels.
the old tool panel.
and on the right site the rest in a nice drop out navigation table.






1. Smart Filters:
(fliters>convert for smart filters)
this feature lets u remove, move, change any filter u have applied to ur image. u can now compare it to the blending options.



2. Quick Selection Tool
(in the tool panel)
makes it easy to make good selections.


the new option Refine Edges gives u total control to ur selection.



3.Video Layers
(layer>new video layer)
can be used for animation. the video layer can be manipulated with filters.
to make it easier to understand... take a gif animation... in the old cs2 u had all these differnt frames and it was hard to apply filters. now the video layer is considered ONE SINGLE LAYER! so u can i.e. twirl the video layer and the animation will play with that twirl.

4.New Blending Modes
photoshop cs3 has two new blending modes:
lighter color
darker color
its hard to explain what exactly they do, just like all the other modes. just try it out.

5. Black & White adjustment
This gives u control over ur RGB and CMY. u wont lose the information of ur tones like it when u just convert to grayscale.



6.Save For Web
Imageready's days are counted and it got put into pscs3. Its now possible to save ur files as html and image data, which makes it easier for web designers.

7. Auto Blend Layers
Edit > Auto-Blend Layers
