I just started messing around with Photoshop CS 2 today and was wondering how do I put pictures together. I wanna try getting Esham on this stock image I used (thx Dyna Mic for posting this one) but I don't know how. Also is there a way to erase the background behind Esham with all the trees in and stuff so it'll blend in with the stock image? thx. Any other tips you guys can give to make this pic look good will be helpful as well.

First you might want to open some windows in your PS.
Go to window<click history + click tools + click navigator + click colours

Okay now lets go to the second step. Open a new file (make the size whatever you want). Now go to your previous file, press control A (select all), control C (copy) and then go to your new file and press control V(past). Do the same with your ohter picture. If you did it right you now have to layers in the new file. The two layers are your two pictures

Now there are two options.
1) You erase the back of the person.
This is somthing I NEVER do, I always look up psd or I work with the picture (see step two). But if you want to do it there is a technique that uses the combination of three tools.

The first tool is an automatic select tool (selects parts with the same colour, makes a line between two colours. You can change the strength of this tool. Mess with these setting and you will see.
Note: This tool is to erase the background close to the person

Then for the second tool you can again select similar coloured spaces, again this can be adjusted.
Note: This tool is to erase the background close to the person

Then for the third tool you have the erase tool. This is used for deleting larger backgrounds. Select the tool and right-click your canvas, you can find alot of brushes there.

Play with hardness and pixels. If you want to check out more brushes then click the arrow that I circeled.

Okay the second technique is something I won't explain simply cuz it is something soooo varriated.

Hope you learned something, feel free to ask more help

I usually download .avi or .mpeg videos (preferrably .avi cuz some mpeg don't work in imageready). Then I got a program called Ulead Gif animator 5 and take a small part of the video (lets say about 8 seconds) and make it a .Gif file. Then all you gotta do is resize the video cuz it's prolly gonna be large. Then save it. Now it's ready to go in your sig.

That's the basics of how it goes. To make the video look like how it is in my sig takes more time and other stuff to do.

Hey Timeside, thanks a lot for the info about how to do that. Seems kinda hard at first but I guess the best way to learn is just mess around with it and get the hang of it. Thanks again.

I don't know if this is the right question to ask here but ummm do you happen to have a Photoshop CS 2 Keygen that works? cuz I downloaded this tryout trial from this other forum but the keygen I got from there doesn't work. I can't purchase it either since they no longer sell it at their site so taht sucks. If not then that's okay. Just wondering. I'll just have to move on to CS3:( I have like 11 days left on my trial. I've been enjoying messing with this already and plan on keeping it too. Appreciate it if you can help me out.
