I haven't done this in years, but I believe there are two options for erase. One of them is short and takes less than 2 minutes and the other is a longer process. Try erasing the disc with the longer process. If that doesn't work just go out and buy a 50 pack for $5 or something. They have deals all the time.

I'm almost positive once a disc is finalize it cannot be erased...

I'm with matt on the just go out and buy some cheap dvd's...

invest in a dvd player capable of playing divx files (it will play the .avi files you DL) and you can just burn data dvd's, no converting necessary, and you can get 6 movies on the dvd (providing the movies are 700mb each that is)...best buy always has dynex cheap-0 dvd 50 packs for $8.99 and circuit city always has sony dvd 50 packs for $10...

Yeah, in some instances you can get a 50 pack free. I have seen these deals many times in the Office Depot or Office Max ads. The DIVX is a great option. A lot of movies seem to be 1.38. If thats the case you will be able to fit 2 or 3 movies onto one disc. You have to author the disc though so it can have a menu for an option to play whatever movie.

idk what authoring a disc means, I just choose burn data dvd and then whatever the title is when I add the file is the name that shows up on the tv when you click the "info" button or whatever it is...

and yeah if a movie is 2 parts you could get (3) 2 part movies on the disc...
