| |  Max Payne [ Movie Review] *Starring Mark Wahlburg, Mila Kunis & Ludacris Max Payne  Rating: 5/10 Plot: Coming together to solve a series of murders in New York City are a DEA agent (Wahlberg) whose family was slain as part of a conspiracy and an assassin (Kunis) out to avenge her sister's death. The duo will be hunted by the police, the mob, and a ruthless corporation. My Review: got a chance to screen it on wednesday..and from what I remember...the action scenes and the special effects where the shit. The PG-13 rating made the movie look watered down...i wanted to see some brains exploding and blood everywhere....but nothing. Mark wahlburg sucked as max payne, I think someone else could have played him better, maybe benicio del toro or josh brolin from "No Country For Old Men". The game is more intense than the movie, which made it feel like the movie was a little boring. The whole demon/gargoyle explanation was dumb...and the last few minutes of the movie are wack. WHAT THE FUCK...is ludacris doing in this movie. The character he plays was supposed to be an old white dude. The slow motion scenes were kinda wack too, nothing like the actual game. Overall the movie to me was a let down, I was expecting way more. If you havent played the game, the movie might be more enjoyable, but if you have...you might be disspointed.
