A teenage girl has been mauled by a cougar after a friend illegally entered a house to impress her by showing off the animal.
The 16-year-old was attacked in the home of a wildlife collector in Miami-Dade, Florida after she and Anthony Zitnick, 21, went into the house.
She was taken to hospital for surgery, but it is thought she will make a full recovery.
The home is owned by Alan Rigerman, who legally keeps two cougars, as well as snakes, tortoises and alligators. He was at a reptile show at the time.
