The AFC East co-leaders meet on Thursday night in what has the makings of a great battle. The Jets hosted the Rams last week and dominated from the opening snap, eventually winning by 44 points. New York is coming on and has the look of a playoff team. Meanwhile, the Patriots suffocated the Bills in a key division matchup, though it wasn't always pretty.

This year's Patriots team could represent coach Bill Belichick's best work to date. New England is rarely penalized and sits atop the division after losing the league's best player, plus several other high-profile starters. The Pats beat the Jets 19-10 in Week 2, but both teams have evolved quite a bit since then. To add further intrigue, on Monday the Jets signed CB Ty Law, who is expected to play this week.
